Version 1.0
This is an aesthetic overhaul package for the 1969 Dodge Charger uploaded by OhiOcinu, adding optional liveries and details to create the "General Lee" from The Dukes of Hazzard, including 2 different liveries, a dixie horn sound mod, and custom license plate addons. The model can be downloaded here:
https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/1969-dodge-charger-r-t-426-hemi-add-on-extras-tunings-lods-template
OhiOcinu's is by far the best Charger that's been made for this game, and I wanted to tackle creating my own livery set for it after not seeing many on this site. I'm super obsessed with detail, so I spent a good chunk of time working on all of this, so I hope everyone likes it.
Bugs:
Currently the only bug is that with certain trainers, the added license plate doesn't register as anything other than a duplicate of the North Yankton Plate, but it will still read the additional plates and will save to the car correctly, no matter which plate you use.
Install Instructions:
It's pretty straightforward.
Once downloaded, each folder contains instructions on how to install and manage each piece. It gets pretty involved here and there, so just read carefully and !!BACK UP YOUR FILES!! There are also some "Easy Install" options, which is the best way to go, but it's able to be customized with some custom install instructions.
If there are any questions, feel free to comment and I'll try to respond to each one that I can.
Other Recommendations:
If you want the Charger to sound more like a charger, use Legacy-DMC's 'V8 Hemi' sound mod.

@truffleshuffle That early 05 movie paintjob was cool but needs different number font and specific weathing etc. Removing the rebel flag for the reason you mentioned only supports the bs that the rebel flag has racist intent as far as DOH is concerned. Fk em don't worry bout it dawg. Many people make DOH GL videos with the rebel flag, recent ones too.
@gtavjamal That's the problem for content creators which is my point. It's not like others will not see it and it's only on a 5m server or you just using the mod to mess around in single player. For me, who likes to do videos it's an issue and more of a headache. Adding an extra livery to go along with the ones that are already in this mod would help content creators that do not want hate in their videos.
@truffleshuffle I understand perfectly what you are saying but the answer is never the cowards approach. You are essentially saying do as told and they will leave you alone lol. Do you believe DOH has racist intent with the flag? If not then support DOH by not bowing down to pressure. John Schneider never backs down to DOH racist claim attacks.
https://youtu.be/BbJEKTZVpow?t=61
You don't understand as most of the yt content creators do not have the backing of people like John Snyder but as I said no one is staying remove the other liveries just add one with only the door decals for more options.
@truffleshuffle you would probably get more hate without that flag rather if you had it just saying
@NicholasPTgamer no I have videos with the flag from a few years ago and got a ton of hate. which is why I would like an option to not have it as well as having it.
@truffleshuffle idk what you were doing in them videos i have a bunch of videos every single one with the flag no issues and its grew my channel a lot
@truffleshuffle I totally understand I just don't agree with the cowards solution. You don't need John Schneider to fight your battles. I checked a bunch of YT vids and fk all hate if any hate at all. More support for the flag and positive comments. Real talk. Dawg you are seriously disrespecting DOH by wanting to remove the flag for the reasons you said. Best to stick to another car for your public videos. Btw. Other 69 charger alternatives are Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Drive Angry.
I don't call respecting other people cowardly.
@truffleshuffle And by doing so throwing DOH under the bus as if it's guilty of racism? I'm black and as far as I am concerned with DOH and the flag it's all about intent. There was no ill intent involved with DOH. Again best to use another car for ya public vids. That way you wont have to worry about offending anyone.
@gtavjamal As I said I have done videos of DOH with the rebel flag but I would like the opportunity to have it without as well. There are many applications for not having a rebal flag as a livery that has nothing to do with doh. I would like to have the ability to just have the door numbers no matter what paint scheme I use for things like racing and others as well. But I digress this comment section is about a mod and we should not be discussing our beliefs in the comment section throwing it off topic.
@truffleshuffle Then it's not the General Lee and not DOH you want. Best to make requests in the forum.
https://forums.gta5-mods.com/category/7/requests
@gtavjamal My request is more about the 05 movie version than anything else but it works for multiple things without the flag. Seeing as in the movie at the beginning the General lee did not have a flag and only had the door numbers .
@truffleshuffle By your own words you said...
"...it might be more of a headache to have the flag than not even when there is not ill intent"
"... help content creators that do not want hate in their videos. "
Anyway please see my above post for forum request thread link.
@gtavjamal yes and I am pointing out that even the 2005 car did not have the flag at the beginning of the movie. which is a look I like with the beat-up paint and only the door numbers. It would be less of a headache to deal with the hate that would come with the flag as well.
@truffleshuffle That's your main reason. Fear.
@gtavjamal As pointed out It's not fear as I have videos with the flag. I am looking for other avenues to use, such as just the door numbers for other things. Not having the flag will also be less of a headache when dealing with youtube and the people and comments it brings but it's not the main reason I want a livery that has the door numbers. But as I stated before this is not the place to discuss our beliefs in racism or political views.
@truffleshuffle Don't worry, man. I will add a livery of the dilapidated version of the car form the first scenes of the 05 movie, as well as a 05 livery in general.
Also, if you want to make content regarding it, you could probably use the one with the flag, but I recommend just putting a disclaimer heading the video, so that everyone knows.
I just don't want you guys arguing over the flag and whether or not it should or shouldn't have it. I respect the show, and while I know that symbols don't have to be inherently bad, I also understand and respect that some people can't cut those associations, which is why I included a disclaimer and censored the flag for this page. Please just be civil guys. Nobody's any better than anyone else just because of what they think the flag means or doesn't mean. Even I myself tend to be uncomfortable when I see the flag being proudly displayed, as I am a left leaning citizen, but I also understand that people still use the flag to this day as a symbol of hate. But I also respect the historical accuracy of a show I love and care about, and grew up with, and am one of those who believe the car just looks wrong without it. But if somebody wants to display it without the flag, that's okay too, because I understand the reasons why it's tricky. Doesn't make them any less of a Duke fan, just means they don't want to upset anyone if they don't have to.
Just be excellent to each other.
@MattByrk Yeah that's your opinion and your right to speak your view. But know this. Its people like you and truffleshuffle who essentially support the banning of DOH. Cant straddle the fence. Anyway I am done with these comms. Pointless. Final note. Please remove my name and link from your description. I don't wanna be associated with you. Thanks.
Nice work!
