@TheAdmiester didn't say to fix it, but for those interested, just explained why the sound becomes strange. and yeah, aquaphobic's sounds do the same too

if you upgrade the engine the sound breaks, just edit in carcol.meta the audio apply to 1.0. everything above changes the sound in worse.
if you apply more than 2 audio apply in carcols the sound breaks
