Another update, here: after talking with a gamer buddy, it seems he can't run anything as administrator after last Windows update.
UPDATE: Windows put out a small patch late last week, and I'm relatively sure that's what broke this. Most likely, they tweaked Windows Firewall.
I don't know about anyone else, but this stopped working for me today. Even when I start it as an administrator, it tells me to start it as administrator every time I enable or disable the rules, and enabling them doesn't work at all.
If I may make a suggestion about the program for a couple of minor things... a version display somewhere in the UI might be a good idea. Also, a way to disable an IP address without totally deleting it (for times when you want to temporarily restrict access) would be great. Otherwise, love the program!
Update: It turns out it was both my router *and* my anti-virus program. If anyone else is having problems with getting people to connect to you, forward port 6672 in your router, and make an exception for the program in your anti-virus.
The issue is that my roommate is the only person who can join my session, which I suspect is because we have the same IP address. So I know it works, but it prevents anyone but him to join.
Hi, great program, but I've got an issue. I've entered in my friends, but I can't invite them. I have no problem playing with them. The only person I can invite successfully is my roommate. I entered in both our local and general IP addresses, so I'm thinking it might be a hardware issue... that is, I think it might be our router. Is there any port I can specifically allow (or block) that would help here?
