@Neos7 Jester would probably be less conflicting with other mods. I know of two cars that already replace the Feltzer already. Either way, let me know and I'll work on trying to get a sound mod for the car.

@jarhead2012 The file for the carbonizzare is super_2_eur_v8, just so you know. Also, here's the modified idle on it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6zv-A121BM

@Neos7 I'm not sure if you saw but I made a mod to make the RX7 idle brap. I see that you are going to be working on another rx7 and I would suggest going with the Carbonizzare as a base. In terms of audio, that car seems to be the closest to a rotary sound and the idle is smooth enough to put in a stable brap. I'm currently working with both cars audio files and the Carbonizzare is much easier to do. Maybe we could work together to get a complete Car/sound mod and be one of the first to do it.

@jarhead2012 I think I may have found a car that would suit your needs and makes me really happy to work with. The Carbonizzare. Its a high revving V8 that sounds like a mix between a Ferrari and a F1 car, but has a smoother idle than the Banshee. I did a reworked audio for the idle and it sounds almost spot on to a real car (at least I think it does. Its the closest I could synthesize lol). I think you would be happy. Also, you could rename the files on the rx7 to carbonizzare.ytd/.ytf and it'll match up. The only thing I've found is that the gauges don't work. I'm going to try and talk to the creator of the RX7 and see if he could switch to the Carbonizzare.

@HAZEY Yeah I saw, I checked it out, seemed a little low in volume but overall wasn't bad. I'm down for working together, just know that this won't be easy lol.

To get into a .awc file, just drag the .awc file from OpenIV to the desktop. It should already have everything packaged together. To double check, delete the one in your main directory in OpenIV then drag and drop the one you copied. Open it up in OpenIV to double check each of the files and thats it. Very simple.

The biggest issue faced with the banshee idle and revving is the fact that the game still thinks it has a v8 in it, so it still accounts for camshaft lobe and such. You can hear it on mine when the sound loops, its like a stutter. No matter how I've played with the .oac file in notepad++ I cannot get it to smooth out. Thats when I found another set of audio configuration files that are encrypted. I'm not saying that its in there but if it is, it'll make audio editing a lot easier.

If the car was based on a higher pitched car like the Carbonizzare, it would sound much better.

Oh and you were experiencing the cutout because the audio file wasn't long enough for the rpm band. Everything is very time oriented with the audio files. It's OK if it's a little too long, but if it's too short you'll either get cutting out or static.
