@qwertyTech thank you very much :) I'll go check it out
@qwertyTech Looking over the files in Open IV, I'm pretty sure these are both ELS compatible cars. (Extras are toggable by script) Do you have a source for both the Tahoe and the Silverado? Thanks I love the idea of this file :)
@Ilikeeditingpolice01 Yep anyone can claim copywrite/IP abuse on this site and can cause a file to be taken down. Thats exactly what they [probably (since I have no proof)] did it via claiming copyright\misuse of IP (Intellectual Property) on the file. Anyone can claim copyright on a file on this site by going to the bottom of the page and clicking on DCMA to file a complaint.
The Liberty city map is IP of R* and T2(parent company of R*). Thus, they have a say over where and how any of their IP is used. For whatever reason, T2 has said that they do not want maps in the HD universe being ported over to V. [3D universe maps like Vice City and San Andreas are ok supposedly] This came to light at the end of the Open IV legal battle. Open IV announced they were working on a port of the liberty city map to GTA V, T2 sent a cease and desist and, the modding crisis of 2017 commenced.
Also, it should be noted, there was a Read Dead Redemption map port that's project was canceled the same reason due to a cease-and-desist last april.
Basically, T2 has control over 3rd party mod use of their IP (Even in Singleplayer). Thus, they have the right to prevent/inhibit distribution of any of their IP. Supposedly, they can only go after the distributor not the downloader (as long as you use it in SP).
To wrap things up, Piracy is wrong. No matter what don't use a cracked game [use a legal one instead]. When it comes to downloading and then using mods that have been taken down, decide if you feel what you are doing is right. If you do download it, don't distribute it but, use it for yourself in SP otherwise, you could get into trouble. [By the way before this project, I know for a fact there is a 5M reborn Liberty City map mod and, I still think it is up] Sorry about my rant and hijacking this thread :(
@Dragust @Ilikeeditingpolice01 Almost a month ago, someone on this site uploaded a Liberty City Addon map (Liberty City Rewind). This download linked to a MegaNZ file with the origional release. [Just checked link no longer works] :( It so far, is the most completed/refined port we have available for GTA V.
Within a few hours, file on 5 mods was taken down probably due to R* and T2's strong opposition to adding the Libery City map into GTA V [they threatened to shut Open IV down partly because of their port project last year]. That download @Blackout linked is a link to the official Liberty City Rewind for GTA V port with update 1 also included. I downloaded both files and can swear on a bible they are not viruses and, the Liberty City Rewind map port project and, the first cumulative update to it.. Its your choice if you want to download [map is a tad over 7gb] but, if you choose to download the map, act quickly before T2 and R* notices and cause the project to be shut down [cause these files/links to cease to exist]
Off to a great start. Thanks for releasing this model and I can't wait to see the final product
I just read up on the history of this car and the Mid Night club and, its interesting. Thanks for releasing this mod :)
Great job with this model. So happy we finally have a properly released ELS unmarked GMT 830 in GTA V
@badass22 oops my bad sorry about that.
@badass22 Lore Friendly retro Emergency Pack has a Foxbody Mustang Highway Patrol car.
@PouchPotato I had a simular problem with another ELS car. Did you ever figure out the cause of this bug?
