Installation
Place HostageHumanShield.dll and HostageHumanShield.ini into your "scripts" folder. You will need the latest Script Hook V and .NET Script Hook.
Controls
J - Take/Push Hostage
K - Kill Hostage
Q/E - Rotate
The first two controls can be edited via the .ini file.
About
You can take people hostage and use them as cover, push them around, or even just kill them. The hostage's faction will try to not shoot at you since their ally is in harm's way (cops for example), so you can use this to regenerate some health and then kill the hostage. The hostage is also invincible to bullets which makes them very good for cover.

After the latest SHVDN update you can realease the hostage without crashing the game due to euphoria being fixed
great idea for a mod, but one small issue: when are we going to get or find an npc in the middle of a gunfight lol
DO NOT DOWNLOAD, mod's is completely broken and will not be ever be updated. Even the working version was clunky as hell and a very poor implementation of the concept.
Nice! The ped teleporting to you doesn't look that good, but I think it's nice anyway.
@squidninja I don't see the problem here, it still works fine for me. Try putting the bind on another key, or, I don't know, updating or installing requirements? You also probably have a conflicting mod that makes it not work, so try to see what mods this isn't not compatible with.
cool. But some suggestion. Perhaps it would be better to add some movement alongside with human shield just like saints row 2 or The Punisher game, definitely would be good.
