The YF-23 was one of two contenders during the USAF's ATF program, which resulted in the F-22 Raptor. This plane is the "loser" so to say and only two flying aircraft prototypes have ever been built by Northrop and McDonnell Douglas.
This mod brings the uniquely shaped "Black Widow" (unofficial nickname) into GTA V, in my humble opinion one of the coolest aircraft ever made.
This mod has openable weapon bays, including the MG hatch, working flaps and gears, as well as those big ruddervators in the rear. Detailed cockpit and working instruments featured as well. Also includes proper LODs and COL mesh for good game optimization.
Also includes custom weapon settings and models, NOTE that these are disabled by default to prevent crashing due to wrong gameconfigs or whatever. The 2 necessary files to enable them are included with insrtuctions in the readme.

Replace the image(s) in any of the jbib_diff_001_?_uni.ytd and lowr_diff_001_?_uni.ytd files.

Very interesting aircraft with equally interesting flight characteristics. I remember being so surprised when the DoD chose the YF 22 over this but that's how it goes. But hey, fortunately for us we can have BOTH! This plane is lots of fun to fly and is very FAST. Thanks for yet another fine aircraft!
In reality, it develops a speed of 2335 km/h, and in the game no more than 590 km/h..

I absolutely love your mods man. I'm a dev for a FiveM server and I'm always putting you vehicles into my server as a replace (I just use OIV to convert) and I always make sure that people in my server know all the mods that are in are yours. They all look beautiful.
@SkylineGTRFreak Dear mighty author, I installed your YF23 with no modification but the machine gun and missiles seem to be the same as LAZER jet instead of the AIM-120. I tried to fix this by editing the handling file, but no weapons could be used any more after this. Can you fix this?
@SlaauSystems it was tested at mach 1.8 , and said to be able to reach over mach 2 ... the rapter was mach 2.25 to reach these speed in gta5 download the supersonic mod and nobounderylimit follow the directions... its super fun but almost pointless because all you can fly over is watch ... at mach 2 the map goes by so fast
never the less a beautiful aircraft and i really do favor it over the f22
