A special thanks goes out to @420x420 for helping me get started with 3D modelling, @Jridah for letting me use his 1911 as a base and @Rippler for helping me further understand weapon.meta files. Without those three dudes this wouldn't have been possible so go give their mods a peak if you like top quality weapons and weapon content.
This gun is based on the custom colt 1911 pistols from the 2004 Punisher movie and is my first attempt at 3D modelling. I started with Jridah's custom 1911 and added a compensator from p3dm and a scratch made full length guide rod which is the small tube under the barrel seen when the slide is open. The hammer is currently not animated on this gun and a 1911 is a single action pistol so I rotated the hammer to the cocked position for a more realistic and functional look. (Some screenshots were taken before I moved the hammer back.)
I didn't and still don't quite understand how to assign textures to items properly so the compensator and guide rod share the same texture as the sights. As a result of this I was unable to put any markings on the front or rear sight without seeing them duplicated in awkward places on the compensator.
When retexturing the gun I stole (with permission) 420x420's black checkered grips from another 1911.
There are several small details that I would like to tweak over time, this is just the first release.
Included in the download are optional.meta files to give the gun more accurate/realistic fire rate, slide animation speed, recoil movement and magazine sizes. The standard mag holds 7 rounds and the extended mag holds 15. Fire rate and slide animation speed changes were made possible thanks to help from Rippler.
Installation instructions are included in the readme, thanks for downloading.

i really like the gun, it looks incredible, but the iron sights need to be improved a bit :)
@Billy400 Thanks, I definitely I agree. I like to play in first person most of the time and they really need some sort of markings on them for visibility. Unfortunately though until I have a better understanding of Zmodeler the compensator and sights will be sharing the same texture.

anim bug with a rear percutor, when you firing, this piece go in middle of model
Fantastic 1911 and seems to be the only one showing the hammer in the cocked position. Every other 1911 has their hammer perpetually frozen at full rest, which minimizes the realism for those of us who understand WHY this is an issue.
can anyone tell me why i dont have a x64w.rpf in my mods folder i really want to install the metas but seem to be missing something any help would be appreciated.
@Smoakz copy the x64w folder from your normal game folder to your mods folder. And then do the modificztions in the mods folder
