Splendid Faces es un mod para los rostros tanto de personajes hombres como mujeres. La filosofía que se encuentra detrás de la creación de éste mod es que todo jugador pueda crear un personaje tal y como se lo imagina; independientemente de su género, edad o apariencia, todas las combinaciones son posibles y válidas. Por eso si deseas crear un personaje joven y con piel lisa podrás hacerlo, al igual que un personaje maduro, o un personaje con expresiones más marcadas. Por eso nuestro contenido ha sido tratado de la siguiente manera:
· Todas las texturas tienen un difuminado básico para eliminar la pixelación excesiva de las imágenes.
· Todas las texturas han sido comprimidas en formato .dds para una mayor optimización y calidad al crear los archivos correspondientes.
· Tanto las texturas de hombres como mujeres tienen por lo menos dos texturas de cada etnia (encontramos seis etnias en total: blanca, negra, paquistaní, árabe, latina y china) con un difuminado más notable. De ésta forma podemos usar estas texturas como ‘base’ si queremos crear perfiles más jóvenes o de piel más suave, así no se niega la posibilidad de crear personajes con un rostro más natural o maduro.
· Las texturas de las mujeres han sido tratadas de forma que el gris de la barba de pieles masculinas ha sido eliminado en el pack de mujeres.
· Las texturas de los hombres han sido tratadas de forma que algunas texturas tienen los rasgos ligeramente más marcados y los poros más notables, simulando las pieles originales.
· Las texturas con un difuminado extra son diferentes en hombres y mujeres, generando aún más diversidad de rostros entre personajes masculinos y femeninos.
INSTALACIÓN:
Para instalar este mod en el modo SinglePlayer (SP):
Reemplaza los archivos encontrados en la carpeta SinglePlayer del mod (SP), después de descargarlo, en la ruta “x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streamedpeds”. Para esto debes usar el programa OPENIV.
Para instalar este mod en el modo Multiplayer/Servidor (MP):
En los archivos a descargar se encuentra ya creada la carpeta 'stream', el archivo __resource.lua, y los archivos pertinentes todos alojados dentro de una carpeta llamada 'Splendid' después de la carpeta inicial 'MP'. Simplemente deberías copiar la carpeta 'Splendid' a la carpeta 'resources' de tu servidor. Si ya tienes todas esas carpetas creadas, simplemente puedes copiar los archivos dentro de 'stream' a tu propia carpeta de 'stream'.

Estamos trabajando en actualizar los 'specular y normal map' de las cabezas en cuestión, no obstante es algo que aún no se ha adjuntado en éste mod ya que hay que testear el funcionamiento de estas texturas puesto que parece que no se pueden mezclar al igual que lo hacen las pieles (diffuse map).

In this way, we can use these textures as a 'base' if we want to create younger profiles or softer skin, so the possibility of creating characters with a more natural or mature face is not denied.
· The textures of the women have been treated so that the gray of the shaved-beard of male skins has been removed in the women's pack.
· The textures of men have been treated in such a way that some textures have slightly more pronounced features and more noticeable pores, simulating the original skins.
· The textures with an extra blur are different in men and women, generating even more diversity of faces between male and female characters.
INSTALATION
To install this mod in SinglePlayer (SP) mode:
It replaces the files found in the SinglePlayer folder of the mod (SP), after downloading it, in the path “x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streamedpeds”. For this you must use the OPENIV program.
To install this mod in Multiplayer/Server (MP) mode:
In the files to download there is already created the 'stream' folder, the __resource.lua file, and the pertinent files all housed inside a folder called 'Splendid' after the initial 'MP' folder. You should simply copy the 'Splendid' folder to your server's 'resources' folder. If you already have all those folders created, you can simply copy the files inside 'stream' to your own 'stream' folder.
VERSIONS (1.0)
Currently this version is the initial one, 1.0. As textures to be improved are found, updates will be progressively added.
We are working on updating the 'specular and normal map' of the heads, however it is something that has not yet been added to this mod since it is necessary to test the functionality and compatibility of these textures since it seems that they cannot be mixed in the same way that the skins do (diffuse map).

@jedrek Thanks for your comment. I really like the upscaled face textures mod too. I think they look pretty smooth, the "bad thing" with this mod is that its weight is ten times more than the original textures, +1MB per face, which means that practically no servers use this mod for that reason. In addition to that, what my mod raises is a concept of variety, not only softening the faces slightly, but creating a real diversity making some faces much softer, and others more natural, to create more possibilities when creating the faces and skins in the character creator.
