Simple tweak to enable motion blur effect.
Installation:
0. Get OpenIV from here: http://openiv.com/
1. Unpack mod files anywhere you want.
2. Check out included screenshots, and choose preset you like.
3. Import desired "timecycle_mods_1.xml" to \update\update.rpf\common\data\timecycle\
4. Import visualsettings.dat to \update\update.rpf\common\data\
5. Once in game, go to graphic settings, and set:
- Motion blur amount = 0%
- PostFX quality = High or higher
4. Done. Enjoy!
Changelog:
Update 1.3b:
-Fix for latest game update.
Update 1.3:
-Added tweaked visualsettings.dat to fix minor issues, mostly with FPS view inside cars.
Why? Because game seems to use two different, and somehow conflicting motion blur systems.
Extra stuff, notes, etc:
- Backup files are included, so don't freak out.
- Motion blur effect will work ONLY with 3rd person camera mode.
- PostFX quality must be set to High, or higher.
- Visualsettings.dat file remove second motion blur system that this game use by default.
- You can tweak amount of blur yourself:
1. Open "timecycle_mods_1.xml" with notepad.
2. Search for "postfx_motionblurlength" string.
3. Change value there to anything you like.
4. Save, import, enjoy.
- List of all presets, with their "motionblurlength" values for reference:
Weak = 0.25
Subtle = 0.50
Medium = 0.75
Normal = 1.00
High = 1.25
Intense = 1.50
Strong = 2.00
Insane = 3.00
That's all folks. Credits goes to:

Better late than never. Updated "mod" files for the latest patch, without any other changes. I know, @GERgta already updated my "mod" unofficially (thx dude), but i want to fix this shit here anyway. Sooo if you want his version, go there: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/updated-motion-blur-mod Sorry for huge delay guys.
Work in FiveM? That's what brought me here, I want motion blur when I play FiveM.
Yeah idk but this mod broke my entire game... I got to redo my mods folder cause of this mod, I did everything right, maybe it effects NVE but I uninstalled it and it was still broken so got to redo my mods :(
What preset is preferd?
Unless you want the 0xc0000005 error, its probably best to stay away from this mod
Can i use this great mod online, without getting banned? Thx!
run's perfect, by reading the views i thought it would of been an error.
Good mod.
The mod is very good, but one thing I don't like in this mod is blurring everything except the main player. I mean to say, suppose cops chasing the player and the mod is focused on the player only whereas the cops also running the same motion with the player. The focus should be the same for the same motion objects. is my logic wrong?
@MrNB Well I believe the motion blur is based off your view. So of course your own player/vehicle wouldnt be blurred, becuase its for the most part, in the same spot of your screen compaired to fast moving objects going in and out of your view.
@FrostyGaming I'm having the same issue
@Xire Damn son! That sucks lol! I'm not even a fan of motion blur but it does make for some cool cinematic effects if making a movie or something. I still remember this bs. Thanks for reminding me to stay away from this mod. I'll just stick to a motion blur effect in my video software or something if I ever go back to making short videos within GTA V.
@FrostyGaming Do you happen to be using QuantV? If so, you need to disable motion blur from within QuantV's menu
can you get banned if you use this online, cause earlier i saw a comment that said if it dosent mess with the update.rpf file you can use it online and not get banned.
How to uninstall later in the future?
why there's no motion blur on everything except on my car? I have the postfx set to ultra, disabled in game motion blur and depth of field.

@OnlyCrazy Never take modding online.
how to get this to work in first person
Works and medium is the best looking to me!
will it work in rockstar editor?
I love the mod but the first person camera in vehicles SUCKS SO F###ING BAD. When you break the windshield it fixes it, but if its not destroyed it gives you like a extreamly weird look on it and makes it imposible to play like that. Or it is but its really not nice to do so.
