- Simply open the .OIV in OpenIV and let it install in your Mods folder
WHAT IT DOES:
- Replaces Packie's Head, giving him his old GTA IV one, with a new texture that strikes the balance between his old charm and yet doesn't look out of place next to the others in GTA V (hopefully!)
- Replaces his standard jacket, as well as the formal suit jacket
- Makes it a Liberty Rock Radio tee instead of the generic gun tee underneath
THINGS TO DO:
- Working relentlessly on an add-on ped with his original GTA IV ensemble as well as numerous other outfits, accessories, etc...
- Finding time to look at fixing current issues
CREDITS
- Rockstar, who originally created this head for GTA IV (which i made edits to) as well as the textures from GTA IV & V that i altered for this mod
- Oleg of Zmodeler3, saint of a man, who was a MASSIVE help & furthered the research of the blender>zm3 workflow and added FBX support during the development of this mod
- NGClan made the Niko in one of the preview images. But like. Everybody should know that, lol.

And obviously the people at Rockstar, and the man himself Ryan Johnston, who were responsible for establishing, no exaggeration, one of the greatest characters in any kind of media.

- NORMAL MAP NOW WORKING!
- Waaaay smaller file size. No idea how v0.1 ended up being massive for no reason.
- New Specular map
- And whoops, left a beta testing thing in v0.1. That's gone in v0.2
CURRENT ISSUES
- The inside of Packie's mouth is lit really strange. This is, however, the case for the rest of the heist crew streamed peds, at least on my machine, my graphics settings, but I'll still try to figure out how to fix this.
- Packie's default jacket is a bit squirrelly, and while the suit jacket is fine, there's clipping for the other members of the Heistcrew Gunmen.
- Specular is almost perfect but he's ever so slightly too sweaty in some locations, ie the Tequi-la-la, Jimmy's room... You know, sweaty places. But still slightly too shiny.
- Been noticing some weight painting issues on his neck. Will get to that soon.
- Also some light tearing in Packie's lip corners, they used to be waaaay worse, but I'm always trying to get rid of them completely.
- Chef's hands are still misaligned, low priority tho

Where do i start? Okay
-Wrong vertex paint
-Wrong shader
-Head texture is 512x696
-DLC is 400mb for some reason, defragment please
-The DLC has bunch of corrupted text files that seem to exist there for no reason
I won't leave a bad rating but here's all the things that are wrong with this mod3 maart 2021 -

- Not sure what the correct vertex paint is, and where I looked, the correct paint I'm supposed to use isn't documented :shrug:
- Yeah, it's the wrong shader because i had documented issues when he had his normal map on (which i have recently fixed) where he'd get weird lighting issues on his eyes, where his lips met, and his nostrils, and using ped_default which only utilized diffuse & spec was just how to proceed at the moment.
- The head texture is 512x696 because he replaces Packie's head in hc_gunman which contains both his head, teeth, and hands, and I'm not fond of the solid color playdough neck in vanilla, so I wasn't going to fit all those features in a 512x512 texture and lose his neck.
- Will be fixing the size issue and removing the leftover blank text from that dlcpackcreator I used as a basis very early on in development in the next release, which is coming sometime tonight, having recently fixed him.3 maart 2021 -

1. You can check vanilla models, that's a good way to learn, anyway:
Vertex color - 255 128 0
Vertex glow (or whatever it was called?) - 0 0 0
Vertex alpha - 255 0 0
These will fix lighting
2.Shader should be ped but you know that already
3.The engine is not supposed to handle non power of two textures, this might cause issues, on gtaforums you posted some LOD bug or whatever that was and this is probably the cause, this is why textures are 256, 512, 1024 etc and not random values, yeah maybe you can't fit the texture that easily but you should try to find some work around because the way you did it will cause bugs3 maart 2021 -

Alhough the issue that i was having with lighting was fixed. I'm not... really sure how. Instead of using my imported fbx of Packie I started working on the exported ydd, importing it back into zm3 and re-exporting it with the ped shader the issue I'd had before using the ped shader on my imported fbx was gone, so something in that process may have done it.

3. It was actually an issue with mipmaps on his embedded textures, like i was saying, and i no longer get those issues after fixing that this morning. But I will work on a new head texture if there are any bugs documented that come from this.3 maart 2021 -

@nicoow05 idk what you heard but I'm not making any actors dude :( and thats kind of a heavy request to just drop into somebody's comment section to ask for five entirely custom peds, w/o even commenting on the mod itself or rating it

This Packie in a trainer (Menyoo) or is it the Packie you can call for help only? (After OIV install)

@The-Canon He's in hc_gunman, head 005 (sometimes labeled 6 if your trainer lists 000 as 1)

Update coming in the next few days. Not THEE Protag Packie update, but fixes to hc_gunman Packie before the BIG update. Remember to check GTAForums for updates on Protag Packie development.

@BrynnaDaRosa So this replaces the Packie model of GTA V with this one? Looks much better.
